When I came across the Nohi Kids brand, I loved the bright colors and adorable patterns. I loved them even more to find out that their products were made from organic cotton and bamboo blends. Addie had a great time searching the site with me to pick out a shirt she liked, the problem was narrowing it down to one. She liked so many designs and all the bright colors. In the end we settled on the peacock t-shirt in raspberry.
Nohi’s slogan is “Celebrating Small”. Their clothing lines were created specifically for infants and children. I was amazed at how soft and comfortable the material is, that is a huge plus for our children’s clothing. Even more so, is that they use organic cotton and bamboo. I wish I could totally afford to outfit my children in organic clothing and keep all those harmful pesticides away from their bodies. Bamboo is one of the fastest growing plants on the earth without fertilizers and pesticides. That makes it such a great choice as it is easily renewable and a sustainable resource. I have a couple of bamboo shirts and I love how breathable the material is. They also use low-impact, water based inks for printing and follow the CPSIA guidelines to ensure their products are lead free.
I love that Nohi practices what it preaches and as a company donates a portion of its profits to charities that help the health and well-being of children.
Addie loved the shirt from the moment we pulled it out of the package. After washing it, she choose to wear it the next day. It truly is soft and comfy and doesn’t have an itchy tag that she is bothered by in many other shirts. I ordered a 3t thinking it may be a little big but would give her time to grow into it (she will be three in August), but it fits her very nicely. I do think with the 2% Lycra in the material it does have room for growth. She even wanted to wear it the day we picked cherries.
The kind folks over at Nohi Kids have offered to share the love with one Frugal Greenish Mama reader and provide a shirt or onesie in the Shake Rattle Roll giveaway hop starting on 5/22/12. Please come back for your chance to enter to win one for yourself.
I was provided with the above shirt in exchange for my honest review. All opinions expressed are 100% my own.
